If every flower is a rose,
Then we would miss the rest of those.
But the red is only one of many,
Blue white, and yellow.
All favorites of some fellow.
And frankly, a single color would be uncanny.
The variety of flora is critical.
It feeds the creative via umbilical.
Diversity builds new paths of thought:
Literature, photos, art and new ideas.
Has influenced all since the dawn of Pangaea
And now there are new things we wrought.
Humanity has grown the world of beauty
But must remember its origin and not get snooty.
